As of March 1, 2016, Canadian applicants for E-1 and E- 2 (Treaty Trader and Investor) visas will benefit from streamlined registration at the U.S. Consulate General in Toronto and additional processing locations across Canada for employees of companies with valid registrations and their dependents.
The U.S. Consulate General in Toronto will handle all new company registrations for E-1 and E-2 (Treaty Trader and Investor) visas in Canada. This means that all new applicants must schedule their E-visa interviews in Toronto, which is now the dedicated post for first-time E-Visa applications which require pre-screening of new or renewal applications. If a company’s registration has expired, the employee (whether previously issued an E visa or not) must also apply for their visas in Toronto.
Employees of E-1 and E-2 companies with valid registrations and their dependents, can now be processed in multiple locations across Canada, including: Toronto, Ottawa, Vancouver, Calgary and Montreal.
