Two of our lawyers at Scott Legal, P.C. were selected and named as Super Lawyers Rising Stars!  Ian E. Scott and Kelly LeGrand Weiner were both appointed to the prestigious list.  Scott Legal is a business immigration law firm that focuses on investor visas, business immigration and entrepreneurial business support.

We are honored that Ian E. Scott and Kelly LeGrand Weiner from Scott Legal, P.C. join the prestigious list of other top attorneys.  Both of our lawyers will be featured along with the other winners in the New York Times.

Ian E. Scott is the founder and president of Scott Legal, P.C.. He received a Juris Doctor degree from Harvard Law School where he was a Primary Editor on the Harvard Human Rights Journal. He received both an undergraduate degree and a Masters in Business Administration (M.B.A) degree from the University of Toronto where he was an Ontario Graduate Scholar. Mr. Scott is also a Certified Public Accountant (C.P.A.) and for over 10 years, he worked at Credit Suisse Investment Bank on finance and banking transactional matters, risk management.  He also worked at the Bank of Montreal in Canada where he wrote accounting opinions on complex business transactions and he was an external auditor for Financial Institutions at Ernst & Young.  Mr. Scott is also the author of Law School Lowdown: Secrets of Success from the Application Process to Landing Your First Job and he has been extensively published.

Kelly LeGrand Weiner is the Managing Attorney at Scott Legal, P.C..  She graduated summa cum laude (top 3 out of 389 students) from New York Law School and obtained her undergraduate degree in Anthropology from New York University (N.Y.U.).  She was on the Dean’s list repeatedly throughout her undergraduate and law school tenure and regularly received top graduate honors.  During her tenure with the firm, Kelly has been instrumental in the development of the business immigration and investor visa side of the practice. As the managing attorney, Ms. LeGrand Weiner manages a group of attorneys and support staff as well as oversee client relations, firm strategy and the expansion of the business plan drafting line of business.  Ms. LeGrand Weiner also recently completed (with honors) an intensive Harvard Business School program that focused on finance and business strategy.
