Announced on July 20, 2020, the U.S. Embassy in London will resume visa processing on July 27, 2020 and the Belfast Consulate General will resume visa processing on August 3, 2020. Visa services will resume in phases, the first phase includes immigrant visas for spouses and children of U.S. citizens; F-1 and M-1 student visa categories.
Some consulates postponed their interviews while some were cancelled outright. Applicants who have pending applications should check their emails and other communication methods for the latest information on how to rebook their interviews.
The Presidential Proclamation suspending some non-immigrants from entering the U.S. is still in place until December 31.
