We just had an O-1 petition approval for a social media influencer who had been working at his petitioning agency for the past three years and was looking to extend his employment with the agency. The petitioner is an award winning social media marketing agency that works with some of the biggest companies across multiple industries, including fashion, automobiles, hotels and beverages. Social media marketing via social media platforms such as Instagram has been a hugely growing phenomenon in recent years and the beneficiary will continue to work to market and promote numerous global companies and brands. O-1 renewals are granted in one year increments. However, we ensured that the beneficiary was granted a full three years by presenting the case as a new employment with a new set of events under a new employment contract. The petition was filed via premium processing and approved without a Request for Further Evidence (“RFE”) within 10 days.
