On July 25, 2022, USCIS announced that it is extending certain Covid-19 related flexibilities through October 23, 2022.
The flexibilities are for the following documents:
- Request for Evidence;
- Continuations to Request Evidence (N-14);
- Notices of Intent to Deny;
- Notices of Intent to Revoke;
- Notices of Intent to Rescind and Notices of Intent to Terminate regional investment centers;
- Filing date requirements for Form N-336, Request for a Hearing on a Decision in Naturalization Proceedings (Under Section 336 of the INA); or
- Filing date requirements for Form I-290B, Notice of Appeal or Motion.
Any applicants who have received an RFE or NOID between March 1, 2020, and Oct. 23, 2022 and their response is received within 60 calendar days after the due date set forth in the requests or notices, their response is deemed to be filed timely.
USCIS already extended this deadline several times since March 2020 due to Covid-19 global pandemic. At this point, it is unknown whether USCIS will extend it again after October 23, 2022.
