Coronavirus Update: Netherlands to Reopen Borders to Highly Skilled Migrants Regardless of Country of Residence
Starting on July 2, 2020, The Netherlands have reopened their borders for permit holders, who with Highly Skilled Migrant long-term stay visas, and visa-exempt nationals with approved Highly Skilled Migrant permits can enter the Netherlands, regardless of their country of residence. This new policy applies to individuals traveling or previously living in any country, including countries from which travel is currently not permitted or green listed. This includes citizens and residents of the United States.
Airlines have been informed of the adjusted policy; the approval letter or visa stamp should suffice for boarding. No medical testing or mandatory quarantine requirements apply upon arrival. Dutch consular posts are gradually resuming services to enable foreign nationals and residents to benefit from eased travel restrictions.
