USCIS Announces It Will Resume Premium Processing for All H-1B Petitions by October 3, 2017

By September 27, 2017May 18th, 2021H-1B and E-3 Visa, Immigration

On September 27, 2017 USCIS stated that it plans to resume premium processing for all H-1B petitions on or before October 3, 2017.  There has not been a formal announcement as of yet, however, as this statement was issued during the course of a phone call with American Immigration Lawyers Association’s USCIS Service Center Operations (SCOPS) Liaison Committee.

If the premium processing for all H-1B petitions does indeed resume by October 3, it will be a swift return to offering the 15-day expedited services for all H-1B applications.  If the 15-calendar day processing time is not met, USCIS will refund the petitioner’s $1,225 premium processing service fee and continue to process the application on an expedited basis.
