The Department of Homeland Security have announced that starting from September 30, 2018, the Form I-907 premium processing fee will increase from the current $1225 to $1410. Premium processing is an expedited service offered by USCIS where employers can pay an extra premium processing fee to have some Form I-129 and Form I-140 petitions adjudicated within 15 calendar days. According to DHS, the new $1,410 premium processing fee represents a 14.9% increase, the percentage change in inflation since the fee was last adjusted in 2010 from $1,000 to $1,225. This comes right after USCIS announced an extension of suspension of premium processing for some H-1B applications until next year. Any premium processing application that are received on or after September 30, 2018 must include the increased amount or the application will be rejected.
