Scott Legal, P.C. just had an EB-5 approval for a business start-up. The applicant was on an E-2 visa and invested $500,000 to apply for the EB-5 green card. Although the regional center program has been stalled, the EB-5 direct investment program is alive and well and the current investment amount is $800,000 for many businesses.  To file for an EB-5 green card, you must file an I-526 petition.  In this case, the petition was approved in 2 years which a rapid approval time for this type of petition.  The petition was approved without an Request for Evidence (RFE).  To learn more, take a look at the resources below.
