Citizen of Burma Successfully Obtains Temporary Protected Status

A hand protecting paper cut outs of a family

Scott Legal was able to successfully help a Citizen of Burma obtain Temporary Protected Status. The case was a bit complex because the applicant had extensive travel history that USCIS alleged may have disqualified her because of the potential of resettling in a different country to seek protection. However, we were able to explain to USCIS that this travel occurred before Burma was designated for TPS protection and as a result was not subject to a negative finding of firm resettlement. USCIS agreed with our explanation and approved the application. At Scott Legal we would be happy to guide you in determining whether you may qualify for a specific immigration benefit like Temporary Protected Status.
