
For the 2019-2020 year, our Managing Attorney, Kelly LeGrand Weiner and Associate, Michaela Vrazdova have been serving in leadership roles on the Corporate Practice Committee, Practice Management Committee & Consular Practice Committee for the American Immigration Lawyer’s Association’s New York Chapter.
Ms. Weiner serves as the Co-Chair of the Corporate Practice Committee. In this role she planned and presented with other immigration attorneys at a Continuing Learning Education course in November 2019 entitled Staying Compliant: I-9s, H-1Bs, and related worksite issues. She is also responsible for working with her co-chair, secretary and committee members to plan informal meetings to discuss current immigration topics related to corporate practice of immigration law.
Ms. Vrazdova is the Secretary of both the Consular Practice Committee and the Practice Management Committee for AILA’s New York Chapter. She has assisted in planning relevant events for immigration attorneys in the areas of practice management and consular practice. In January 2020 she helped organize a meeting for AILA New York Chapter members on issues of changing fees midstream through a case and she has also assisted in organizing a meeting that will cover recent updates received from the National Visa Center and various U.S. embassies, as well as discuss recent changes to immigration law, such as the public charge rule, birth tourism & B1/B2 visa regulation updates and the USCIS overseas Field Office closings.
