After May 11, 2023, a COVID vaccine will no longer be required for non-immigrant international air travel. The proof of vaccination requirement has also been lifted for non-immigrants entering the U.S. through a land border. Until then, nonimmigrant travelers must be fully vaccinated in accordance with CDC guidelines.

One important thing to note is that foreign nationals who are applying to become green card holders in the U.S. are still required to show proof of vaccination as part of their medical exams for their green card applications. That policy has not changed.
