The U.S. Government has completed entering the data for H-1B petitions for this year. This means that if you have not yet received a receipt notice and/or your check has not been cashed, your petition may not have been selected. That being said, receipt notices may roll in over the next couple of days through the end of the week. As in prior years, the lottery was done based on a random selection. USCIS will start returning petitions that were not selected and this could take a month or longer (they have 115,000 petitions to return). USCIS will provide notification once all the petitions that were not selected have been returned.
