We had a B-1 Domestic Worker (Nanny) employee visa approval at the U.S. Consulate in Shenyang.  The applicant qualified for a special type of B-1 visa which allows her to work as a domestic worker (Nanny) for her U.S. citizen employer who regularly resides outside of the United States but is temporarily being assigned in the U.S.  Domestic employees of non-immigrant visa holders and certain U.S. citizens with a permanent or regular residence abroad can apply for a B-1 visa which allows them to work while their employers are temporarily stationed in the United States.
