Mr. Plessis advises individuals and corporations on nonimmigrant and immigrant visa options with a specific focus on business immigration. He has particular expertise with H-1Bs, L-1s, O-1s, TNs, requests for evidence, motions, appeals, and family-and employment-based green cards. He also assists individuals with their nonimmigrant and immigrant visa applications at U.S. Consulates.

Mr. Plessis graduated from the University of Paris 2 Pantheon Assas magna cum laude with a Master’s degree in Multimedia and Computer Law, from the University of Paris 1 Pantheon Sorbonne with a Master’s degree in North American Business Law, and from the University of California – Los Angeles with an LL.M. At UCLA, Mr. Plessis was the beneficiary of the Jim Hurlock – White & Case Scholarship, the Dean’s Tuition Fellowship Award, and received the Masin Family Academic Excellence Silver Award.

Before joining Scott Legal, Mr. Plessis successfully passed the bar exam in Paris, France, and worked at major law firms in Paris in their intellectual property and IT law departments. He advised companies on copyright, privacy and data protection, and complex IT law-related matters. In the U.S., Mr. Plessis completed a legal fellowship at the Wikimedia Foundation, working on data protection, copyright, and free speech regulations. M. Plessis also worked at major U.S. immigration law firms in the U.S. and  Canada, advising corporate and individual clients on a broad range of immigration matters. Mr. Plessis is also involved in various mentoring initiatives, including as an LL.M. Ambassador at UCLA.
