The USCIS Boston Field Office just approved green card petitions for a Diversity Visa Lottery Applicant, his spouse and child. The Green Card Lottery applicant is from Turkey. Although Diversity visa petitions must be adjudicated by September 30, 2022, the case was complicated by the fact that USCIS placed the application in Administrative Processing which is a more thorough version of a background check. In combination with our request for regional liaison help provided by a national immigration attorney association known as AILA we are members with, and the applicant’s contact with his local Congressional representative as well as our continued inquiries with the local field office, the application was timely approved, and the applicant and family received their green cards.
