The 2017 Visa Lottery Program is here again.  The online registration is now open and will remain open until Tuesday, November 3, 2015 at 12:00 noon, Eastern Standard Time (EST).

This program is administered annually and is geared towards attracting immigrants from countries with historically low rates of immigration to the U.S..  50,000 lucky applicants are selected through a lottery system and are given the opportunity to apply for green cards.   The program is free and the application is done online.  Some countries that have had high numbers of immigrants over the last 5 years are not eligible. (Eg. China, Canada, Brazil, etc.)

Last year we were assisting an E-2 Client who applied for the Diversity Lottery and won! This client recently received a green card for the whole family.  One Visa Lottery tip.  Do not wait until the last few days to apply as the system is significantly slower.  If you apply on the last day, you run the risk of not being able to complete your application.
